The reserve currency of Robinhood Chain

PokeFi issues POKE against hard assets held in the PokeBank treasury. Bond your capital in at a discount, stake it to compound every eight hours, and let the treasury — not a peg — set the floor under the token.

The thesis

Three moves, on a loop

PokeFi is a reserve-currency protocol: it sells its own token to acquire assets, then pays holders to keep it staked. Everything else follows from those two facts.

01

Catch

Sell an asset — a stablecoin or an LP position — to the PokeBank in exchange for POKE priced below the market. The treasury keeps the asset permanently; you receive your POKE as it vests over five days.

02

Train

Stake POKE and hold sPOKE. Every eight-hour epoch the staking contract rebases and your sPOKE balance grows on its own — no claiming, no re-staking, no gas spent to compound.

03

Evolve

Every bond adds reserves the protocol owns outright. As the PokeBank grows faster than supply, the backing behind each POKE rises — a floor set by assets on the balance sheet rather than by a peg.

The mechanism

The flywheel

Each turn of the loop leaves the protocol holding more than it started with. That is the whole design — and the whole risk, because a loop that turns can also turn the other way.

The loop only compounds while new capital keeps arriving. When bonding stops, the rebase is paid out of reserves the treasury already holds — which is exactly what the runway figure measures.

PokeBank treasury

Total reserves the protocol owns outright, valued by the treasury contract itself.

Compounded from the per-epoch rebase the staking contract reports.

Total value staked

The share of all POKE held as sPOKE, read from the staking contract.

Journey runway

How long reserves sustain the current reward rate with no new bonding at all.

Questions worth asking

Including the ones a landing page usually avoids.

Yes. PokeFi is an OHM V1-derived design — the same staking, bonding, treasury and distributor architecture — ported to Solidity 0.8.24 with OpenZeppelin v5. The one substantive change is that every epoch, vesting schedule and queue is measured in seconds rather than block numbers, because Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit chain where block.number tracks L1 and is unreliable for pacing. We did not invent this mechanism and we do not pretend to have.

Unaudited, experimental software. Bonding and staking a reserve currency can lose you everything you put in.
